What’s New in iOS 15? Everything You Need to Know

Apple’s WWDC 2021 keynote presentation kicked off on June 7 and it began with the official wraps off iOS 15 for the iPhone line. One of the best thing Apple provide to its users that it’s latest version of OS can installed in the old generation of iPhones as well. So, user don’t have to switch their devices frequently to explore the new OS.

As always, Apple announced all new iOS 15 features in both Keynote and on their website. The beta test starting right away as it will release this fall and it is full of new features and changes both big and small that will have the biggest impact on iPhone users with iOS 15.

iOS Release Date:

New versions of iOS generally launch in mid-September. It is typically accompanied by a new iPhone launch. iPhone13 may come with iOS 15 on it in September 2021. The developer beta is available now that is launched at WWDC. iOS 15 beta release date for public will be in July. There is no need to mind bugs and the occasional crash, as iOS 15 will release by next month and you can try it yourself. 

Apple has also announced that the final version will arrive in the fall that follows past releases seems like September will be the most likely time for it to appear. iPadOS15 will certainly follow the same trajectory that was also announced in the keynote. Apple hasn’t precisely announced the iOS 15 release date in India.

How to get iOS 15 beta?

You can try out iOS 15 on your device before its general release. Apple suggests not to run the beta on the critical device. Think twice about downloading it as even in the public beta though you can expect bugs. The developer beta can be downloaded from develop.apple.com/download and also download the developer beta profile on the device upon which to run the beta. Other than developers you can join the public beta by beta.apple.com and download the beta profile.

After you get the profile go to Settings > General > Profile then to enable the profile your device will reset. Once the profile is enabled after reset goes to Settings > General > Software Updates to download the latest released beta.

iOS 15 is coming with some awesome features and functionalities which will make your user experience more smooth than ever before. Here is the list of some of the major iOS 15 new features:

FaceTime –

There are various new FaceTime improvements which provide a more seamless experience to all iOS users. The spatial audio feature means it will separate voices (3D voices) that sound more natural in group chats. A new grid view that highlights the person taking and also has a wide spectrum focuses on the environment around you. Voice isolation blocks out other ambient noise and focuses only on your voice.

Photos –

A handful of improvements in the photo app. In a recently taken photo, you can look for someone or something in particular. A new improvement to memories with animations and transitions and it creates carousels of photo collections and new slideshows with music. You can change its look with styles, photos and even music from the library.

Others –

There are also many other important features and improvements like SharePlay, Notifications, Live text, Apple Wallet, Message, Focus, Memoji, Maps, Safari, Health, Siri, Weather, Widgets, iCloud, Live Text, and many more.
